Web Embeds

Overview

Avoid double data entry and use our CMS to manage events, lineups, schedules, and/or points of interest for both your website and app at the same time. Fans can see who’s playing, browse bios, music, and videos in artist profiles, and preview all the attractions that make your event special. We provide a simple embed code or API access and put most of the power in your hands for complete UI customization.

Notes: This is an add-on product available at an additional cost. If you want more information, contact Client Support using the Support beacon or Contact link.

Types of Web Embeds Available

Text Lineup: Provide a list view with all of your event’s performers in alphabetical order (by the first word of the performer's name). Users can then click on any artist to view their profile. Once on a performer profile, users can click any events that the performer is associated with and click through to view details of the event.
Users can Sort By Name or By Day of performance and Filter By Category.
Note: It is not possible to change the order of display of the artists or alter the size of individual artist names using this view. You determine the order of the Category filter drop-down by the order you add the categories in the web embed screen.

Image Lineup: Provide a grid view of your lineup with artist names displayed on top of an image. You control the opacity of the image in addition to other design options.
Users can Sort By Name or By Day of performance and Filter By Category.
Note: It is not possible to change the order of display of the artists using this view. You determine the order of the Category filter drop-down by the order you add the categories in the web embed screen.

List Schedule: Provide a schedule for your users to browse, with dates, times, locations, and event names. Users can click on the event to view more details and the description. Once viewing the event details, users can click any performers that are associated with the event and view performer details.
Users can opt to view All Days or select a specific date of the event. They can filter by Place/Stage, Category, or Search.

Grid Schedule: Provide a grid of your event schedule. Users can easily browse event days by time, location, and event name.
Users can select a specific date for the event. They can filter by Place/Stage, or Search.

Image Lineup POI:  Similar to the Image Lineup above, this web embed allows you to list Points of Interest with images. Users can filter by place name.

How to Create a Web Embed

1. Navigate to https://cms.aloompa.com/

2. Click "Design"

3. Click "Web Embeds"

4. Click the name of your Web Embed to edit an existing embed, or click +New Embed.

5. If you are creating a new Web Embed: Add a Name for your Web Embed. This is for internal purposes only.

6. Select the Embed Type dropdown and select the option you would like to use.

7. Click the "Choose a Category" field and select the category or categories you would like to display.

The order in which you add categories will determine how they will appear in the Categories filter drop-down for any lineup web embeds.

8. Click "Create"

9. Use the tab Embed Design to modify settings on the main screen of your embed.

Use the tab Pop-up Design (Performer) to modify settings on the modal that pops up when you select a performer.

Use the tab Pop-up Design (Event) to modify the settings on the modal that pops up when you select an event.

The preview will display all of your changes for you, so simply work your way down the list of options and modify as you see fit.

10. Use the Translations section to adjust verbiage that appears throughout the web embed. For example, the By Name filter can be called By Artist or By Exhibitor if you prefer. If your CMS is setup to include additional language support, this section also allows you to add translations to appear for those with browsers set in that language.

11. Once your Web Embed design is set, use the "Embed Code" tab and add this snippet of code to your website.

Note: If you make changes in any Event Details screen of the CMS, you must Publish those changes prior to them being visible on the Web Embeds screens. Unpublished changes will not display in the Web Embed by default.

Tip! If you would like to see how your web embed will appear on a website, outside of our CMS, you can do that by following these steps:

- Copy the Embed Code from the CMS --> Open a Text Editor on your computer (for example, TextEdit on a Mac) --> Select Format & Make Plain Text (this will not work if you are in a text editor with rich text formatting) --> Paste in the embed code --> File - Save as Plain Text Encoding Unicode (UTF-8) and add .html to the end of your file name. When you open this saved file, it will open in your web browser. This is a great way to see how your web embed will appear and is a fantastic way to troubleshoot any issues. If there are no issues on this version of the web embed but you are seeing issues once the code is added to your website, it's likely an issue on your website.
