Apple Agreements and Rejections and How to Handle

Below are various agreements and rejections that could come up with your iOS app. Agreements and rejections could potentially remove your app from the App Store or prevent it from being published. For reasons like these, it's important to stay updated with your Apple Developer Account and the updates that released throughout the process. You can always check your Apple Developer Dashboard or sign up for the latest email updates to stay informed!

Remember that agreements will need to be handled by the account owner, but Aloompa will help you through the appeal process. You can always check out Apple's website here for more information each agreement and rejection.

Paid Apps Agreement

Even though your app is free to download, you still need to accept this agreement before we're able to ship your mobile app. You can do this by logging into appstoreconnect.apple.com and navigating to the 'Agreements, Taxing & Banking' section of the page. Click on 'Paid Apps' and accept the agreement.

Developer Account Expired

This means that the license for your Apple Developer account has expired and needs to be renewed. Depending on how long your account has been inactive, you should be able to process the annual account fee and re-activate your account. It's recommended that you set your account to 'Auto-Renew' so that your account isn't closed and your app is not removed from sale! If you are unable to reopen your account, you will need to reach out to Apple Support and request that they re-open your account. The quickest way to reach out to their support team is by requesting a phone call. If your app has already been removed from sale because of this, please renew your account and contact clientsupport@aloompa.com.

Not Complying with Apple's Developer Program License Agreement

When you receive this rejection, this means that there is further documentation needed to prove that your developer account is the owner of the mobile app that you are trying to publish. To resolve this issue, please submit a tax or legal document to the Aloompa support team at clientsupport@aloompa.com and we will handle the appeal process. Apple will review your legal document and will decide how to proceed with the review. It's important that your document has the name of your developer account present - which is why we strongly encourage all clients to give your developer account a name that is easily connected to your event or brand.

Metadata Issues

This can be related to a variety of different issues with your submission. If you receive this rejection, be sure that your app is free of any 'test' data or blank pages. The reviewer at Apple is most likely looking for information that is relevant to your event mobile app. We encourage you to have as much information as possible in your mobile app before shipping so that your app is an accurate depiction of what a user would interact with for your event. Once you have updated or reviewed your app again, please contact clientsupport@aloompa.com to submit an appeal for the rejection and we'd be happy to help!
