Google Analytics Basics

Most of the Google Analytics data outlined in this guide is now available via your CMS login. Check out our Analytics Dashboard guide for more details!

1. Log in to Google Analytics: https://analytics.google.com

2. Select your app name from the dropdown in the top left corner

3. Select Reports from the left navigation menu

Choosing Your Dates

On the reports screen, you can alter the dates in the top right corner to fit your time frame. By creating a custom date range you can find data from almost any time period. This feature can have a start date as far back as launch, and an end date up to the current date in time.

Date ranges have the power to be broad, but can also be very specific. For example, your event is from April 7th to April 11th, but for the time being you only wanted to find information from April 9th. To do that you would create a custom date range for April 9th to April 9th. Now, all the information found in Google Analytics will only be from April 9th.
